Overview
Remote professionals who want best-in-class call quality from a plug-in webcam. Skip it if you need Windows Hello, or you shoot content where a mirrorless camera would serve better.
Camera clipped to the bottom bezel so eye line lands near the top of the small screen. Bought 2025-03-29 from Best Buy (US) for US$189.99 (after a US$10 bundle discount, plus US$19.47 tax).
Pros
- Large 8.5 MP Sony STARVIS sensor, strong in low light
- Clean 4K30 / 1080p60 with HDR and autofocus
- Integrated privacy shutter and good beamforming mics
- Show Mode tilts down to the desk for demos
Cons
- Image can look flatter than rival 4K cams
- No Windows Hello IR, unlike the older Brio 4K
- Expensive for video calls alone
- Needs USB 3.0 for full 4K

Daily use
Does a better webcam matter once lighting is fixed?
Camera clipped to the bottom bezel so eye line lands near the top of the small screen. Remote professionals who want best-in-class call quality from a plug-in webcam.
“Bought in the US in March 2025. Mounted under the Dell rather than on top so the camera is close to where I actually look on a call: the small screen, where the call window lives. Lighting fixed more than the camera did; the camera fixed the last 20%.”
Shape, ergonomics and features TBD
The negatives, the positives, and the things nobody mentions in the listing. Coming from the owner after a longer stretch of use.
